DEED

County of Bamberg

I H. Z. McMillan of the County of Bamberg in the State aforesaid in consideration of the sum of one dollar and in consideration of Love and Affection to me by my daughter Mrs. Nell Pate and my son H. J. A. McMillan in the State aforesaid (the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold and released, and by these Present do grant, bargain, sell and release, unto the said Mrs Nell Pate and H. J. A. McMillan any and all interest which I may have in and to that certain tract of land which I now reside situate in the County and State aforesaid containing one hundred and twenty five acres more or less and bounded as follows:  On the North by the run of Colston Branch, East by the run of Colston Branch and Indian Camp Branch, and West by Public Road leading from Bamberg to Ehrhardt reserving however a life estate in and to said lands for the grantor H. Z. McMillan with full power and right to use and control the same as he may desire during the period of his natural life provided that whenever a division between the said H. J. A and Mrs Nell Pate is made (should they elect to divide said tract of land in kind) the line of division shall be run North and South and the said H. J. A McMillan shall be alloted that portion on which the residence in which I now reside is situate.

TOGETHER with, all and singular, the Rights, Members, Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the said Premises belonging, or in anywise incident or appertaining. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, All and singular the said Premises before mentioned, unto the said Mrs Nell Pate and H. J. A. McMillan Subject to the life Estate of the grantor herein above (?) their Heirs and assigns, against herself and my Heirs lawfully claiming, or to claim the same, or any part thereof. WITNESS my Hand and Seal, this 2nd day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen and in the one hundred and forty one year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of American.

thereof.
