Wedding Announcement
September 10, 1907

Sabin-Raysor

    "An unusually quiet, but very impressive wedding was witnessed yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. M. Raysor, of Hunter's Chapel, when their daughter, Miss Maude [Maud] Raysor and A. S. Sabin were united in the hold bonds of matrimony.  Only the intimate friends of the bride and groom were present.

     "Rev. Peter Stokes of Bamberg performed the ceremony.

     "The bride wore her going away gown, a brown tailored suit, and carried carnations.

     "Mrs. Sabin as Miss Raysor is well known and loved by many.  Being possessed of a sweet and cheerful disposition and noble character has won for her scores of friends.  Mr. Sabin is superintendent of the Colleton Cypress Co., of Colleton, S.C., and is exceedingly popular.

     "Mr. and Mrs. Sabin left on the evening train from Branchville for Columbia, Asheville, Jamestown, and Johnson City, Tenn.  After three weeks traveling they will be "at home" to their many friends at Colleton, S.C.

     "Among those present were:  Rev. C. E. Walker, J. G. Rhoad, S. F. Berry, N. B. Rhoad, Misses Ollie and Florine Rhoad, and Mrs. Mamie Rentz of Hunter's Chapel;  W. R. Sabin, Dr. and Mrs. Taylor and S. N. Haws of Colleton, S. C.;  Miss Lulie Bonnor of Smoaks, and Maj. E. Minus of Branchville.

     "The out of town guests were:  Miss Margaret Darbey, of Fort Motte, Misses Minnie Herbert Glaze and Alma Davis of Orangeburg; Mrs. T. F. Barton, Misses Cornelia and Hannah Barton of Rowesville; Misses Catheline Minus, Wehme Gavin, Marie Appleby and Messrs George Hartzog and Moorer [D. F. Moorer, Jr.] of St. George, and Walter M. Raysor, brother of the bride, of Otter Creek , Fla."
