Janie Pauline Green Gaskin, 87, of Easley, formerly of Walterboro, died Sunday December 28, 2003 at her sons residence in Mount Pleasant. Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Wednesday December 31, 2003 in Bethel United Methodist Church, 355 Hampton Street, Walterboro with the Reverend Lee Cotheran, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery. Mrs. Gaskin was born August 5, 1916 in Turbeville, SC and was a daughter of the late Daniel Luther Green and Susan Alma Broadway Green. Janie graduated from Turbeville High School and Winthrop College. She did graduate work at the University of South Carolina and The Citadel. She taught school for thirty-three years in the high schools of Hemingway, Moncks Corner, and Walterboro. Janie was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Easley where she was a member of the Wesley Bible Class. Before moving to Easley, she was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church, being active in the Chancel Choir for sixty-one years and other positions with the young people of various churches. She was a member of teacher-related organizations, past member of the Pickens County Education Association and Pickens County AARP. She was a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International from April 1961 until her death.

Juanita Bush Glover, 97, of Atlanta, Georgia, and formerly of Walterboro, South Carolina died August 1, 2008.
She was the widow of Marion Bellinger Glover of Walterboro. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph E. Bush of Norfolk, Virginia.
Mrs. Glover was born September 30, 1910 in Lenoir, North Carolina to Robert Burkhead Bush and Siddie Underdown Bush. She attended Westhampton College, University of Richmond and lived in Norfolk, Virginia until 1942. Except for the years 1952-1953 when she and her husband lived in Suffolk, Virginia, Mrs. Glover resided from 1942-1992 in Walterboro, South Carolina. In Walterboro, she was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and various local organizations including the Tea and Topics. She loved playing bridge, completing crossword puzzles, and traveling throughout the world. From 1992 and until her death, Mrs. Glover lived at Lenbrook Square in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Lenbrook she played bridge, traveled on tours, and enjoyed dining with her many friends there.

A graveside service will be held at Live Oak Cemetery in Walterboro, South Carolina on August 4, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Nancy Oliver of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that contributions be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 106 May Street, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488-3827.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the graveside, Live Oak Cemetery, Walterboro. Local arrangements are by Stuhr's.
Mrs. Grantham was born March 7, 1892, in Walterboro, a daughter of the late John F. Lucas and Mrs. Josephine Lucas. She was a Presbyterian.
Surviving are a niece and a nephew.
