Mr Charles Eugene "Charlie" O'Quinn, Jr of Hampton, SC entered into eternal rest Friday November 30, 2007 at his residence and under the care of Agape Community Hospice.

Funeral services were held at 11am Monday December 3, 2007 at the Brice W Herndon & Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery in Walterboro.

Mr O'Quinn was born 7/12/1941 in Walterboro and was the son of the late Charles Eugene O'Quinn Sr and Pearl Luke O'Quinn. He served his country faithfully in the Army National Guard, Walterboro Unit

Mr. James Avinger Parler, 90, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday morning, October 30, 2007, at the Oakwood Health Care Center in Walterboro. Funeral services will be held 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, November 1, 2007, from the graveside in Live Oak Cemetery.
 
The Reverend Dr. A. Robert Nix officiating. Mr. Parler was born April 18, 1917, in Beaufort and was a son of the late Wesley Parler and the late Ester Avinger Parler; however, his mother died shortly after his birth and he was reared by his stepmother the late Lottie Parler. Mr. and Mrs. Parler came to Walterboro in the 1940's and together they owned and operated Thompson's 5 and 10 on Main Street until their closing in 2002.
 
 He was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church in downtown Walterboro where he was active in many aspects of the Church's work. He was also a longtime member of the Walterboro Jaycees.
