Located on Jeffries Boulevard, the Old Jail is
said to have
been built from the brick of the old Jacksonboro Courthouse which
served
briefly as the county seat during the Revolutionary War.
The building was constructed in 1855-56, and remodeled in
1937 when
the side porch was removed.
