     Will / recorded deed (Colleton District):
     John Fender of South Carolina, Barnwell District, planter, for love, goodwill and affection which I have and
     do bear towards my loving daughters Christina Carter and Peggy Carter of the District aforesaid, all and
     sundry my goods that is his lands, horses, cattle, and hogs with all his household furniture to be equally
     divided between the said Christina Carter and Peggy Carter at the death of said John Fender which I deliver
     at my death an inventory signed with my own hand and bearing even date... 3 October 1811. John Fender
     (I F), Wit: Jesse Carter (JC), Jacob Griffeth.
     Proved by the oath of Jesse Carter, 16 October 1811.

     Recorded Colleton District 9 November 1813.
