with his permission. It is believed that this is scene from the
Gates
Pottery Company in Chicago, Illinois. William Day Gates founded
the
American Terra Cotta Company and the Gates Pottery Company.
He introduce the Teco Pottery line in the late 1800s, and pieces of
Teco
pottery continue to be very collectible.
