"TENNESEE RIVER BRIDGE AND COURTHHOUSE. Knoxville
owns
over 20 iron and steel bridges, aggregating nearly 5,000 feet in
length,
besides five river bridges- two for railroads and three for other
traffic.
Conspicuous among the later is the structure shown in this
picture;
it is 1,600 feet long, and cost $225,000. The Knox County Court
House
is an imposing building, occupying an elevated site and costing
$200,000."
