 Sanford M M Kemp  Sanford M. M. Kemp and his wife, Amanda Johnson Kemp Sanford M M Kemp was born August
1836 in Gwinnett County, Georgia. His mother was Mahala and his
father we believe, but at this time cannot prove, is the Moses Kemp
that was killed by Thomas Chambers in 1836 and is consistent with of
Moses Kemp Jr.
Sanford married Amanda Johnson in 1862. He had one older brother John L. b. 1834 and married Mary Johnson in Sept 1855. He had one older sister Nancy Elizabeth b. 1832 that married Pinkney Terry in March 1846. All marriages are from the "Georgia Virtual Vault". My line runs from Sanford to one of his sons, William Henry b, Sept. 1868. Then to Williams son, James Henry b. Nov. 1888. After that is my father Paul L. b. March 1925. Finally to me. I was born in 1946. All this is available to public view at Ancestry.com. There are several other pictures at this site. As best as I can find, the family was in Gwinnett Co., from at least 1832 until around 1892 when the family moved to Texas. Everything back to Sanford and Mahala is fully documented...
