aka Pruett Cemetery South side of New Hope Road, Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County, GA David Pruett Died September 1855, Age 82 Elizabeth Pruett Died 1854, Age 78 Years This
cemetery is located on the campus of the new Archer High School, 2255
New Hope Road, Lawrenceville, GA, east of the City of Lawrenceville,
and northeast of the town of Grayson. The cemetery is
listed in "Gwinnett County, Georgia Deaths, 1818-1989" with the
code PRT. It is believed that this cemetery holds 27 graves, but
there are only two inscripted grave stones remaining.

site is part of the official In addition to the graves of David Pruett and Elizabeth Pruett, the book of deaths lists James Pruett, c1771-1851, the husband of Elizabeth Pruett. According to Jack Moody, David Pruett of South Carolina received two (2) 10 acre lots in the 1832 Georgia Cherokee Land Lottery. A Census form I found from 1840 said he was a farmer. Another in 1850 listed him and his wife as living in the Harbins District. Additionally, we have found the following families in the 1850 Census, Harbins District which are most likely descendants. In both cases, the last name is spelled "Pruet". William
