the office manager,
the house sitting on the hill overlooking
Peachtree Industrial Blvd,
was built around 1910 and purchased by the Crowell
family in 1958 as
their family home.

following information about the history of the house:
"The home once belonged to "Doc" Benjamin Franklin Walker and wife Sarah Jemison Medlock Walker. I don't know if he built the home or just lived there prior to the Crowells. I know he lived there prior to 1921, the year my grandfather, Reese Hunnicutt Walker, moved to Florida. I actually spoke with Jeff Crowell today. He spoke of a story his mother (who is still living) told him. She had told her husband early in their marriage that one thing that would make her happy was to buy the "old Doc Walker's place". Yes, the same Doc Walker who sold his previous farm to the Gentlemen's Driving Association.. Piedmont Driving Club... now Piedmont Park. "You may also be interested

Cemetery. Members of the Walker, Hunnicutt (yes,
of Hunnicutt Inn), and deJarnette families are
there. I hope this helps you put some more
pieces of history together."
