Columbia Theater
Columbia Theater,57 W. Monroe Street
Lithograph from Chicago  Souvenir Album, c1890

According to Jim G. Indreika, volunteer with Theatre Historical Society, Elmhurst, Illinois:

"The image of the Haverly's Columbia Theater in your collection caught my interest. The building is by architect Oscar Cobb, opened in 1881 and destroyed by fire in 1900. It was at 57 W. Monroe, replaced by the Inter-Ocean newspaper building. This building was later gutted and converted into the Monroe theater. "
