Stock Yard Entrance
 
Entrance to Stock Yards, Chicago, Illinois
 
Designed by John Wellborn Root, Burnham and Root, and commissioned by John Sherman, Superintendent of the Union Stock Yards about 1875.  Above the main arch, Root included a bust of John Sherman's favorite bull, Sherman.  Daniel Burnham  married his daughter, Margaret Sherman.

Designated a Chicago Landmark 1972.
