LASER vs  INK JET

The images below are photographs taken without a flash, and they are low (72 dpi) images.  However, I hope it will give you an idea of how laser and inkjet prints vary.  The laser print below (top) is very warm with a high color saturation.  It looks very much like the original postcard

The one below (also photographed without a flash and saved as 72 dpi) is much cooler and lighter when printed with
ink jet on the same paper.

The original printing process has a lot to do with how the image prints.  If you are printing at home, you certainly can experiment with color and contrast using your photo editing software.  Just be sure to "save as" a new file name, or you will override your original.  I suggest that you save your image(s) on a write-only CD ard work from it.
