Badham Mansion

Badham Mansion
Back to Dorchester Photo Album UDCHS 2013 Tour of Historic Sites

Last year the tour featured the Badham Mansion (only downstairs) that had never been opened to the public before. This year's tour will include the entire house. The upstairs is remarkable. It is the living quarters and features a maze of rooms and 5 balconies. One overlooks the front of the property and 4 are actually antique bathrooms, suspended from air hanging over the 2 side porches. The walls, ceiling and floors are built of walnut, mahogany and pine. Stained glass is featured in windows and door panels and the radiators used to steam heat the house in earlier days are prevalent throughout the house.
