Lee H. Dawson. Ridgeville, Aug. 8. - Special: Funeral services for Lee H. Dawson, retired agent for the Southern Railway Company, who died at 10:15 o'clock last night, will be held at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning at Ridgeville Baptist Church, the Rev. Charles Hackney officiating. Burial will be in Bonnie Rest Cemetery, directed by Parks of Summerville. Mr. Dawson was seventy years old and a native of Gadsden, a son of the late Thomas W. Dawson and Mrs. Rosa Cummings Dawson [sic: not his mother, but his wife]. He was retired from the railroad service after fifty-two years service. He lived in Ridgeville fifty years. Active pallbearers will be Joseph Varner, Henry Riley, G. E. Welch, E. C. Bates, and W. W. Pooser. Honorary pallbearers will be P. A. Salvo, C. C. Knight, J. E. Easterling, J. A. Owens, W. B. Browning and W. M.. Vaughan. |
