BAIR CEMETERY

Bair Cemetery
from
CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS OF DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC
Compiled by Lillian H. Harley, Pattie W. Heaton, Lillian D. Kizer
Location: Between Old Wire Road (S-18-19) and Edisto River, East of Beulah Church, near high powered electric lines in an arbor of bushes, vines and trees.

History: Mrs. Frances T. Patrick reports she was told this Cemetery was named Bair, perhaps first settlers; however no remaining marker bears the name, but like so many old cemeteries there probably were many buried without tombstones, or stones may have been destroyed.

Copyists: Frances T. Patrick, Helen Hutto, Pattie W. Heaton and J. L. Heaton, Lillian H. Harley.

Date: February 20, 1977
