FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY

from
CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS OF DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC
Compiled by Lillian H. Harley, Pattie W. Heaton, Lillian D. Kizer

Location: On highway S-18-35.
Faith Baptist Church was formerly known as Slans Bridge Baptist Church. By 1894 the church from the Slans Bridge area was moved to the present site and kept the name of Slans Bridge Baptist Church until it burned about 60 years ago. The present church was built in the 1950's and for awhile was a mission church of the Jedburg Baptist Church. It was after this period that it became known as the Faith Baptist Church. There appears not to have been a cemetery with the church while it was located in the Slans Bridge area. Evelyn M. Hughes
