Location: On Hwy. 178 west of Bridge Lake, Four Holes Swamp, Dorchester County.A survey made by Saml. A. Ruddock, 1820, shows "HARLEYS TAV. & P.O." which was located, we believe, near this cemetery; therefore, we are of the opinion that several Harleys and relations were buried there; however, no proof has been found at this time. One cold Sunday afternoon in the winter of 1969 W. A. & Sybil H. Pate and Lillian H. Harley searched a large area of the woods for this known cemetery. After contacting Mr. Hilton the search was continued and finally in a wilderness of bamboo vines and fallen trees two gravestone were found, one broken in pieces. Mr. & Mrs. Ansel A. Salley repaired the broken monument and had the area cleared and have been keeping the cemetery mowed and beautiful. Lillian H. Harley
