A 1857 graduate of the South Carolina Military Academy, Campbell earned a living as a lawyer in Charleston, SC. Civil War service includes Lt. Colonel of the 11th South Carolina Infantry and later as a private in the 3rd South Carolina Cavalry after he was dropped during a 1862 re-organization. Later in 1863, he received a commission as Lieutenant of Company I, 11th South Carolina Infantry. In 1864, he retired to the Invalid Corps.

Elizabeth P. Capers, 86, passed away August 16, 2006, in The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg after complications from injuries she suffered while on a recent trip.

Mrs. Capers was born August 5, 1920, in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Clyde P. and Ella Mae Padgett. She attended Newberry College and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. After retiring from Civil Service with the Navy in Charleston, she, her sister and mother enjoyed many trips to Europe, although England was her favorite. She was a true believer in the saying 'shop till you drop,' particularly in preparing for Christmas with her family and friends. In her later years, she and her sister divided their time between Cameron, Blowing Rock, NC, and Orlando, FL, depending on the seasons.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lt. Clyde P. Padgett and her husband, Alexander P. Capers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the graveside in Live Oak Cemetery, directed by Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Mr. Carter was born November 28, 1921, in Walterboro, a son of the late Thomas Mazon Carter and Aggie Mae Ritter Carter. He was a member of Wando Baptist Church and an Army veteran of

Mr. Cave was born in Olar, SC, a son of the late Minnie Bennett Cave and William Thomas Cave. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church for 61 years, serving as church secretary and a life Deacon. Mr. Cave graduated from Carlisle Military Academy and Draughn's Business School. He retired from Life of Georgia. He was past president of The Lion's Club and a Master Mason of Unity Lodge #55 A.F.M. Mr. Cavewas the First appointed board member of the Colleton County Recreation Commission.
He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, Rivers Bridge Camp #842, wherehe was a "Real Son", as his father, William Thomas Cave, served in the war between the states.

Mrs. Cooler was born in Round O a daughter of Mallard H. Hiott and May Hiers Hiott. She attended Colleton county schools and received a bachelor’s from Coker College in 1929. She taught biology in Andrews’s public schools for several years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a member and past president of the Fine Arts Club. She was a member of board of Visitors of Coker College.
